This website is operated by TrendScout AI Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 16490085), with its registered office at Unit 7 Suite 5 Bourne Court, Southend Road, Woodford Green, England, IG8 8HD ("TrendScout", "we", "us").
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info@trendscout.ai. Our ICO registration number is CSN2408285.
2. What we collect
When you request a demo or contact us. Your name, work email address, company, organisation type, the category, brand, portfolio or target you want to discuss, your preferred report, and anything you choose to write in your message.
When you become a client. Business contact details for the people we work with, and the briefs, questions, portfolios and other material you share with us for an engagement.
When you visit the site. Our hosting provider and font provider receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, as part of delivering the site. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this site.
Please don't send us special category data (for example health information). We don't need it.
3. How we use it, and our lawful basis
Responding to your enquiry and arranging a demo. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
Delivering an engagement, including scoping, producing reports and walking you through them. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with your organisation, and our legitimate interests in managing that relationship.
Occasional business updates about our services to people at organisations we work with or have spoken to. Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
Running and securing the site, and meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations. Lawful basis: legitimate interests and legal obligation.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, such as:
- website hosting and form handling (Netlify, Inc.)
- web fonts (Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads)
- email, file storage and productivity tools we use to run the business
- professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case the recipient will be bound by this policy.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers are based in, or store data in, the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified) or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to an engagement: up to 24 months from our last contact.
- Client contact and engagement records: for the life of the relationship and up to six years afterwards, to meet contractual and legal obligations.
- Accounting records: as long as UK law requires.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data erased, in some circumstances
- restrict or object to our processing, including objecting to direct marketing at any time
- receive your data in a portable format, where processing is based on contract

8. Market data we analyse
Our reports analyse publicly available marketplace information about products, such as listings, prices, sales indicators and customer reviews, obtained through licensed data providers. We analyse this information in aggregate to describe categories and products. We don't use it to profile or contact individual reviewers, and our reports don't identify them.
